The New York Mets have had a tough go of it in terms of luck this season, but they may have a sleeper within their ranks in reporter Steve Gelbs.
While doing a live spot for the TV broadcast, Gelbs seamlessly continued telling a story with a microphone in one hand while making a nifty catch with the other.
Happy I was able to make the play earlier. Happier I was able to tell the stories of the inspirational people of Houston in the process. pic.twitter.com/Ii3TxsnYlJ

If you work around baseball long enough you’re bound to have to defend yourself against the errant foul ball, but Gelbs was cool as a cucumber in making this catch.
The Mets should try him out on the hot corner with these kinds of reaction skills.
