The funny thing about the interwebs is that there’s always a crumb of information left somewhere.
In the case of enigmatic Cleveland Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith, that remnant is evidence that he did, in fact, tweet out “Cavs in 7” following the Game 3 loss to fall down 3-0 in the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors.

Screenshots don’t lie, and this one is pretty convincing of Smith’s culpability in this instance.
Of course, the phone hacking excuse was used in the postgame interview with Cleveland.com.
“I got out of the shower and my phone was buzzing. I did not tweet that. I’m smarter than that.”
