Kansas State Offers Three Members of Class of 2014
Class of 2014 Recruit: Abdul Malik-Abu

Bruce Weber was hired as the new head coach at Kansas State this past spring after Frank Martin made the decision to leave for South Carolina.

While Weber cannot duplicate Martin’s intense demeanor on the sidelines, he certainly hopes to duplicate the success that the Wildcats have become accustomed to over the past few seasons.

In fact, Weber showcased his own mentality most recently during their team’s foreign exhibition tour in Brazil, being ejected from a foul-laden game that the Wildcats dropped.

Looking ahead, though, Kansas State is hoping to acquire some big-time talent in their hopes of remaining one of the more consistent threats in the Big 12 Conference.

On Wednesday, Weber made a splash by extending scholarship offers to three on-the-rise recruits from the class of 2014. Alec Brennan, Abdul Malik-Abu and Jared Terrell all received offers, and all three of them run with the Expressions Elite squad on the AAU, a program based out of Massachusetts.

Brennan stands at 6-foot-10 and currently attends Milton Academy (Mass.). The forward continues to gather offers and improve as his list has grown quite extensive. According to his ESPN recruiting profile, Brennan also holds offers from high-major programs such as Iowa State, Maryland, Seton Hall and Rutgers in addition to a number of mid-major scholarships.

As for Malik-Abu, his recruitment continues to rise as well. The 6-foot-8 forward spoke with Rant Sports earlier this month and continues to fit the bill of a high-major prospect. Many schools, including West Virginia, Boston College, UConn and Michigan State, among others, have already offered.

Terrell, who recently made the switch from New Hampton Prep (N.H.) to Brewster Academy (N.H.) for this upcoming season, is also in a similar boat. The 6-foot-3 guard continues to collect high-major offers, many of which are similar to those of Malik-Abu.

In a world in which college basketball recruiting is a hot topic for many, rumors swirl all the time, including potential package deals. Terrell and Malik-Abu have already spoken in the past on a potential package deal, while it just so happens that Brennan is beginning to hold similar offers to the aforementioned pair.
