SEC Votes to Accept Texas A&M University in to the Conference
Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

News broke this morning that the Southeastern Conference schools voted to accept Texas A&M University, who will reportedly begin play in their new home in 2012.

The caveat is that the SEC is not liable for any ligitation that could be brought on by the Big 12 or its nine remaining schools, and ESPN’s Joe Schad is reporting that Baylor is being a pain in A&M’s side.

This is such BS. Baylor, a punching bag for the rest of the schools in Texas over the years, realizes that no conference of stature will extend them an invite, leading to a likely destination in Conference USA.

“We are disappointed in the threats made by one of the Big 12 member institutions to coerce Texas A&M into staying in Big 12 Conference.” A&M president R. Bowen Loftin said. “These actions go against the commitment that was made by this university and the Big 12 on Sept. 2.”

So since Baylor is going to be left out to dry, they are going to do whatever they can to keep the Big 12 around. All I have to say is good luck, because nobody has, or ever will care about Baylor football as much as they care about the other major players in the conference.

You think Texas is going to let Baylor stop them from going to the Pac-16? Fat chance. Just step aside Baylor, let the adults handle their business.
