Miami Hurricanes DT Jeff Brown suspended due to rape allegation
According to several reports, University of Miami defensive tackle Jeff Brown has been suspended indefinitely due to a pending rape charge.
Brown allegedly attacked a yet to be named woman on April 30 while she was intoxicated and sleeping in her own bed following a night of drinking.
Brown initially denied the allegations provided to him by Miami police, but when presented with evidence admitted to having sex with the woman, claiming it was consentual.
Brown’s suspension comes on the heels of Ramon Buchanan’s arrest on suspicion of assault of a police officer and is the second arrest since new head coach Al Golden took the head coaching job with Miami earlier this year.
The Miami defensive tackle is currently being processed at the Miami-Dade Country correctional facility.
