Penguins Player Updates: Michalek and Malkin

By Stephanie Lewark

Earlier today, TSN’s Bob McKenzie reported that Penguins defenseman, Zbynek Michalek, has a broken finger and would be out for a month.

The Penguins webpage has recently reported that Head Coach Bylsma has confirmed that Michalek has a broken finger and that he’ll be out for about 4-6 weeks.

And some good news (for once) on the injury-front where Evgeni Malkin is concerned. He will be travelling with the team to Long Island and Bylsma has not ruled out the possibility of his playing tomorrow night against the Islanders.
