No. 1 Kentucky Clinches Share Of SEC Regular Season Title
The No. 1 ranked Kentucky Wildcats got a shocking scare from the always tough Mississippi State Bulldogs, but Kentucky was able to hold them off and come back from a 13-point deficit and win 73-64.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and company were able to settle down in the second half. Kidd-Gilchrist scored 18 points in the game and grabbed nine rebounds to give Kentucky the edge it needed.
Darius Miller hit a few key three pointers late in the game and finished with 12 points. Freshman Anthony Davis scored 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
However, the loss against Kentucky for Mississippi State could not be over looked. Kentucky out hustled and were tougher than the Bulldogs when the time came.
Dee Bost had been the bright spot for Mississippi State all season and helped them a lot with his 21 points. Bost was 3 for 6 from downtown and recorded eight assists.
With the win, Kentucky clinches a share of the SEC regular season title.
