Andrew Luck says that he will not throw Sunday and will wait for the Pro Day.
The news came Friday as everyone gears up for a busy weekend at the NFL Scouting Combine. It kinda sucks, but it’ll just leave fans sitting on their hands waiting to see more of the guy that already has Colts jerseys made in his honor.
Luck said, “I made this decision by myself. I bounced it off my agent and my father, and felt like it was in my best interest to wait for the Pro day, so, we go from there.”
He added, “The good thing about football is that it’s a team game.”
Luck said that he felt Robert Griffin III is a great quarterback, but in no way shape or form is it a competition.
I agree. This is the time to go out and show what you got in front of movers and shakers in the NFL. If you can’t get that question answered during the season, you’re gonna have to wait until you put on some pro cleats.
“I think Roberts is a great quarterback, a great competitor, a great guy, real easy to get along with. I don’t it’s one person against another by any means.”
Luck and Griffin both are in interesting situations. The city of Indianapolis has practically adopted Luck as their quarterback already, while the Washington Redskins are eying Robert Griffin III to a salivating level. I guess we’re all just going to have to wait a little longer.
According to NFL.com, Baylor has moved its Pro Day up one day — it will now take place on March 21 — to avoid any conflict with Stanford, which will hold theirs March 22.
It think Baylor made a wise move. This gives Griffin all the eyes with no one comparing the two on the same day. I don’t think the Redskins would have cared either way. Everyone comes with the names of players they’re going to look at anyway. It’ll just make us all watch the Combine one day longer.
