Seton Hall was riding a seven-game winning streak coming into Saturday’s game versus Rutgers. However, the Scarlet Knights and Jerome Seagears had something different planned for the Pirates as they got the huge win 77-72.
Seagears hit the go-ahead three pointer with 13.1 seconds left in the ball game. Seagears finished with 16 points, five assists and three rebounds.
Seton Hall’s Jordan Theodore tried to answer with a three of his own but it was off the mark. Theodore finished with 17 points and nine assists.
The loss for the Pirates could possibly set them back a bit as far as their tournament resume goes. Rutgers is not that great of a team sitting at 13-16 now and ranked 139th in RPI.
