The No. 4 seeded Louisville Cardinals held off the No. 13 seeded Davidson in the second round game 69-62.

Peyton Siva’s 17 points gave Louisville their first tournament win since 2009. The previous two years Rick Pitino’s club lost to California and Morehead State in their first games in the tournament.

Chane Behanan added to Louisville’s win with 14 points and 11 rebounds in front of his home town area crowd that packed the Rose Garden. Behanan is from Seattle.

Davidson did not die though.

Jack Cohen added 24 points and 10 rebounds and help get the Wildcats back within targeting distance toward the end of the game and helped Davidson win the second half of the game.

Louisville will await the winner of No. 5 New Mexico and No. 12 Long Beach State.
