Playing Within The Community
The Bruins have been logging a lot of off ice time in regards to helping support community youth programs. Within the last few weeks various team members and organization members have been lending a hand at youth camps around New England. Nothing better than a team who gives back to the fans that love them. This week the Bruins have teamed up with Pro Ambitions hockey to teach necessary skills to youth hockey players at the Haverhill Valley Forum in Haverhill, Ma.
Not only have the Bruins been teaching local youth at summer camps, but some retired Bruins such as Bob Sweeney participated in the Pan Mass Bike Challenge last weekend to raise money for the Boston Bruins Foundation.
Also on the docket for the Bruins… the Charity golf tournament which is being held Monday September 13th at The International in Bolton, Ma.
As much as I love the charity and community involvement I’m gearing up for the start of the season against the Coyotes which kicks off not in Boston and not in Phoenix like you might think. Our season is starting overseas in David Krecji’s homeland. The Bruins will take the ice in Prague on Saturday October 9th. That’s a game that is sure not to be missed!
