1927: The Boston Bruins play the first Stanley Cup Finals game in team history versus the Ottawa Senators. Both goalies earned shutouts–the game ended, tied at nothing, after two overtime periods because it was too hot inside Boston Arena.

1946: The Bruins beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 in an overtime game of their Finals series.

2004: Andrew Raycroft has a shutout in his first ever NHL playoff game. He shuts the door 3-0 against the Canadiens. The last Bruins goalie to earn this honor was Tiny Thompson all the way back in 1929.

A year ago today: As the end of the regular season nears, the Bruins participate in the fourth annual Cuts for a Cause charity event. Check out the gallery here.
