Boston Celtics Get Response From Ron Artest On Doc’s Radio Comments: My Response

No Surprise that Ron Artest responded to Doc Rivers Radio show. If anyone is fiercely loyal to his teams it is Ron. Granted Doc should keep his pride and opinions in check. However, I will respond to Artests comments.
Twitter Artest: Boston lost to lakers because of Kendrick Perkins injury. What about in 08 when Bynum was injured. What about this year Bynum was injured ..
Nelson: Well, when you lose by four points and two games in a row because of rebounding, that would validate Rivers point. I like Bynum, but 08 was the year no one was beating Boston. That team was a team on a mission that would not die regardless of adversity or who was in the way. 2010 is a different story. Bynum is a great inside presence that would have tipped the scales in LA’s favor. The Celtics did not have the size to match up. Bottom line is you play with the players you got and both Doc and Artest are fighting a stupid war of words. The Lakers won period in 2010.
Twitter Artest: What about Kobe played with a broke finger …. What about Ron artest defense When the Boston staff said Ron artest was too slow
Nelson: The broken finger thing with Kobe is old. Watching him play shows me that the finger has zero ill effects. If it did he would have fixed it with surgery. Artest did a terrible job defensively. Pierce got to any spot he wanted and got clean looks. He missed shots. That had zero to do with Artest. To think he was a great defender is ridiculous. The reason Pierce did not dominate like 08 was more his injury riddled body. Pierce was not the same guy after his foot injury during the season. However, Artest should champion his offense. His offense is what tipped the scales of the series in my opinion.
Twitter Artest: Doc got one million excuses.. Just come back this season a take what you want…
Nelson: Doc did screw up and come across as a guy making excuses. Much like I feel Artest would do in the same situation. The Celtics signed more size in Shaq and Jermaine O’Neal. They also added some punch in Bradley and Wafer. The plan is to come back this season and take the title.
Twitter Artest: The lakers with Bynum in the playoffs healthy has not lost The same way whoever whatever hasn’t Let’s not mention the stats on lock down
Nelson: Let’s just say nanna nanna boo boo stick your head in doo doo. Silly comment to make. Problem is I question if Bynum or Perkins will ever be healthy in a playoff format.
Twitter Artest: Nobody made excuses when Boston came to sac town when I was there and they embarrassed us. Acting like they were hardcore.
Nelson: Not to be the bearer of reason, but the reason no one made excuses was because the Kings were not a serious playoff threat. It is hard to have a reason to make an excuse for defeat if the team that got killed is not good. There was a reason Ron was traded to Houston.
Twitter Artest: So Boston is going to championship right past Miami?
Nelson: Yes, Boston will get by Miami. So would Orlando. To even insinuate that Miami is the team to beat as a player shows how volatile and dumb Artest is. Guys like Kobe and Jerry Buss have already said the real threat is Boston despite everyone throwing Miami in their faces. Artest is as usual a great player, but terrible at articulating his point. If I were him my response would have been I cannot hear you Doc with my 2010 ring in my ear or you play with the guys you got. Instead the tales of the third grade nothing shall continue.
