This week has become a big week in signing draft picks for the Buffalo Bills.  A day after signing first round pick Stephon Gilmore, the team has gone ahead and signed second round pick Cordy Glenn to a deal.

Glenn is the eighth of nine Bills picks to sign, with only third round pick T.J. Graham remaining unsigned.

This was a big deal for not only Glenn, but the team as well as Glenn is currently expected to compete for a starting job on the offensive line.  While playing a variety of positions in college, the Bills are hoping to plug him into that left tackle spot.

“I think he’s just tapped the potential at left tackle,” said head coach Chan Gailey. “In our evaluation, we think he can go a long way at left tackle.”

Glenn seemed very happy to get the signing done and just be able to focus on football going forward as he works to adjust to the next level of play as a professional.

“Now it’s behind me and I can really just focus on working and getting better in football,” Glenn said following the signing.  “I’m at the facility working out and getting to know some of my teammates. It’s time to start focusing on the season.”

Glenn was considered by some to be a major steal in the second round of the draft, with many experts expecting him to go much higher (even possibly to the Bills at 10 at one point).

The 6-foot-5, 345 lb. Glenn is coming off a strong career at Georgia where he was a named an All-SEC performer as well as a Third-Team All-American by the Associated Press his senior year.
