In one of the least shocking events of the day, Mike Tice was named Chicago Bears offensive coordinator. Last season, the Tennessee Titans were denied the opportunity to interview Tice for the same position.
I like this move. Tice has done an excellent job with the Chicago Bears offensive line. He’s more conservative of a play caller than former coordinator Mike Martz. Many insiders will tell you that Tice thinks more along the lines of Lovie Smith.
Tice now needs some weapons. For any offensive coordinator to succeed with the Bears, someone has to help Jay Cutler. Matt Forte is a great running back, but there’s a huge downfall to the next best offensive weapon.
