What is going on
Dear Chicago Bulls,
Could you please let your fans know why your playing like a JV High School team from Wyoming? Saturday you dropped a game to the Toronto Raptors 110-78. Not only was the game lost, but heads must have been staring at the ground on your way out of the United Center and into space on the ride home. Then Tuesday night you let a 1-19 New Jersey Nets team come in and get their second victory 103-101. Why are you playing horrible basketball?? You know how to contact us or simply make an apologizing press conference. On the other hand, simply turn the game play around and win some games for us to let us know why we are Bulls fans.

The first sign
of a Chicago collapse was when Raptor’s point guard Jarrett Jack stopped game play to tie his shoes. Not kidding. Jack put the ball in one of his arms bent down and tied his shoes. Luol Deng, who was guarding him, seen what he was doing just switched guys. Everybody just stared at him and made sure his bunny hoop went through the other for a perfect bow on the bridge of his sneakers. No one attempted to put a body on him or even knock the ball out. Jack disrespected the Bulls like never before seen and they did nothing. Hopefully this wasn’t a sign of the lack of dedication to the game or being a member of the team.
In a little sign of disappointment or passion of the game Joakim Noah earned two technical fouls and was ejected in the third quarter for arguing with the officials. Noah stayed in their face criticizing the calls on the court. Noah, ejected, was still not done. After he scolded the officials for the second technical he struck a photographer and chucked the basketball into the stands. Noah’s actions were commented by head coach Vinny Del Negro in an interview with ESPN.
“He has to control his emotions,” Del Negro said. “We’ve talked about this, not just with Joakim, but with other players. He has to understand how important it is that he is on the floor with us.”
Noah is needed on the floor. He is a boost of enthusiasm and leads the league with an average of 11.8 rebounds a game. He will have to learn to have the same passion but not act like he is a member of the JV team mentioned above.
This really should upset the dedicated Bulls fan. A lost to the Nets; I mean the Nets. The Nets accomplished the wonderful record of going 0-18. The worst start in NBA history. They beat the Charlotte Bobcats to win their first game. How do the Bulls let this team come into their house and leave with a victory?
Sure the Nets do have a couple of studs. Brooks, Lopez, Nets starting center, had a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Devin Harris hit the game winning jumper win 14 seconds left on the clock. He ended the game with 17 points. Two others were in double figures from second chance points and set up lay-ups.
Two guys should not be able to beat a team. The other two double figure scores are not even worth mentioning since Lopez and Harris set up 85 percent of their looks. Either way, where is the Chicago defense? The Bulls have to be better than this. We are not even talking about play-off births are nothing like that, it’s about respectable basketball. The Bulls are far away from anything past Bulls could be proud of.
This is the beginning of the season. The Bulls just have to be careful about the direction of their young talent. Young players get discouraged. Confidence is then lost and the whole team looks like they did the last three games. Del Negro has to get in their minds and have his team step up to the challenge of playing competitive ball . This 2 point loss to the Nets is almost the same as a 30 point loss to a premier team. Can the Bulls get their game together and make this season respectable?
