Cleveland trades for CB, LB
Well Cleveland, GM Mike Holmgren is certainly pulling off some very smart moves this offseason. On Friday Cleveland shipped 3rd year LB Alex Hall and a 4th and 5th round draft pick to Philadelphia for CB Sheldon Brown and LB Chris Gocong.

Gocong is a 5th year player out of Cal-Poly who was expected to compete for a starting job this year with the Eagles. It is widely believed that he is much better suited for a 3-4 defense style of play. He has a large frame at 6’2″ 263 pounds.
The best part of the trade however is the aquisition of CB Sheldon Brown. Cornerback is an area of great need for the Browns and Brown is almost certainly guaranteed to start across the field from CB Eric Wright.
Brown, 31, is in his 9th season in the NFL. He has logged 431 career tackles and 19 career interceptions. However, Brown is most widely remembered for this hit on Reggie Bush.
