Browns to lose Rob Ryan to the Carolina Panthers?
With Carolina Panthers head coach John Fox rumored to be linked to a possible coaching job with the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland defensive coordinator Rob Ryan is linked to the coached vacancy with the Carolina Panthers. Foxsports.com is reporting that Browns defensive coordinator Ryan is expected to be interviewed this week for the Carolina vacancy along with San Diego Chargers defensive coordinator Ron Rivera.
It was bound to just be a matter of time before Ryan would get an opportunity at becoming a head coach. Browns veteran CB Sheldon Brown thinks that Ryan would make an excellent head coach. Speaking to reporters, Brown said, “I would be lying to you if I said he wasn’t ready to be a head coach. He’ll do a heck of a job for whoever he gets that job for and the team that gets him, they’re going to have a lot of fun off the football field. It’s going to be like high school and college atmosphere. You know what I mean. It’s going to be a great time”.
