49ers OL Anthony Davis and Lions DE Cliff Avril Engage in Twitter War of Words

By Jeff Shull

In the fallout of the San Francisco 49ers win over the Detroit Lions came a battle between the coaches, and now that the players have control of their phones, two players are in a back and forth on Twitter.

49ers offensive tackle Anthony Davis had some nice words for Lions defensive end Cliff Avril after the game. I’m not really sure what sparked the comment from Avril, but he started the madness.

*WARNING* Second Tweet has Offensive Language

This is Twitter gold at its finest, but Anthony Davis needs to show a little self control and learn how to win. The 22 year old has a lot to learn about being an NFL player, but this is hilarious.

I wonder what Roger Goodell has to say about this.

**Update**

Cliff Avril is taking the high road, as a veteran should.
