Jacksonville Jaguars kicker Josh Scobee called the Eagles DeSean Jackson a “punk” via Twitter amidst Philly’s Sunday Night game against New York.
Apparently, Josh Scobee was watching the game as DeSean Jackson received a taunting penalty and went off in a rant. Scobee posted on his Twitter account minutes later, “Desean Jackson is a punk. #growuputinybastard.”
Fans reacted negatively against some of Scobee’s words, saying it was disrespectful to call him a lil bas—-. The classy Jacksonville kicker responded with the following tweet:
“Relax people. He’s just a punk, which to me means he doesn’t respect anyone or anything around him. Therefore, I don’t respect him.”
A day later, an ambivalent Josh Scobee felt remorseful about his words. Maybe he finally figured out that the Jags may play the Eagles in the future. Scobee tweeted on Monday, “Shouldn’t have called Desean Jackson that, I used the wrong words to try and make my point.”
Haha, what a joke? This is why you don’t press send on anything when you’re upset. You have got to let your emotions settle down first. Listen to Herm Edwards on ESPN daily, as he shouts “Don’t Press Send!”
DeSean replied to Scobee’s comments finally on Tuesday, via Twitter:
“This man @joshscobee is Waaaaaaay outta LIne!! Stick to ya Own business.. Mind ya own!! I don’t respect what u sayin.. Lil Boi status. Plus I don’t even know who this guy is!!” said Jackson.
Nothing like a modern day Twitter war to get the blood pumping. Boy, I can’t wait for the Jags-Eagles match-up of 2014.
