There’s been plenty of exciting plays from high school football this season across the country–including a 99-yard fumble return for a touchdown to actually win a playoff game. However, nothing compares to this touchdown catch by Tampa (Fla.) Gaither High wide receiver Carlo Perello–mainly because of the miraculous leap he pulled to help his team win their playoff game.

As you can see in the video above, Perrello was responsible for turning a simple 15-yard catch into a 71-yard touchdown by leaping over a defender and broke numerous defenders in the process. Turns out, Perrello’s score ended up being the game-wining touchdown for Gaither as the catch took place late in the fourth quarter when they were trailing 14-10.

It’s one thing to pull off an incredible catch like this during the regular season, but when a play like this helps your team advance to the next round of the playoffs–it makes it that much more memorable for the player and the team. As crazy as it sounds, this touchdown catch by Perrello may go down as one of the top plays of the year from high school football.
