Buffalo Area Girls’ Basketball Team Suspended for Racist Pregame Ritual
John Hickey-BUFFALO NEWS

This is one pregame chant we won’t be seeing in a NFL commercial.

The Kenmore East girls’ basketball team is in serious hot water after a sad and bizarre incident. At least a dozen girls are now suspended after using the n-word in a pregame ritual.

According to the the Buffalo News, once every adult was out of the locker room the players would chant “one, two, three, N-word”!

I don’t think that is as effective as “gametime,” or Drew Brees’ military chanting. The school was unaware of such actions until an African-American student, Tyra Batts (pictured above), choked and punched a teammate after telling her teammates to stop. Batts has been suspended five days for the fight.

Superintendident, Mark Mondanaro laid down the following punishments for the school. According to NESN.com

The ignorance of the players is mind-blowing. This whole story is just sad.

One Rant to “Buffalo Area Girls’ Basketball Team Suspende...”

  1. Ross Bell says:

First and foremost she should sue for racial discrimination and the coach terminated for allowing it to happen! thats not the first time its happened and it just so happened they got caught watch for the empty apologies. the students who participated should receive a longer suspension then she got because they taught you all you needed to know about life in kindergarden and a cultural class is pointless…im quite sure they encountered other minorities in life already. and to worry about forefeiting a game shows just where the priorities of the organization is…quit triing to saveface and handle your children accordingly!!!
