Sources: Reggie McKenzie to be Hired as New Raiders GM

By Michael Terrill

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Green Bay Packers current Director of Football Operations Reggie McKenzie will be hired as the new Oakland Raiders General Manager once the season is over.

McKenzie played linebacker for the Los Angeles Raiders from 1985-1988 and has been working for the Packers front office since 1994. He has done a wonderful job for the team in keeping the personnel department in order.

It is no secret the amazing job current Packers GM Ted Thompson has done over the past few years as more front office employees will get looked at by other teams for general manager positions.

McKenzie will be taking over for Hue Jackson who took over the general manager duties when Al Davis passed away earlier this season. Jackson’s biggest move was signing Carson Palmer in hopes of making a postseason run.
