Video: Fran McCaffery Pulls A Bobby Knight, Destroys Chair

Iowa basketball fans have been longing for a coach with passion ever since Todd Lickliter sucked the life out of Carver-Hawkeye Arena. They found that man in Fran McCaffery. The second year coach at Iowa is known for his intensity and occasional technical fouls. During a blowout loss to Michigan State Tuesday night, McCaffery was displeased with his team’s effort.
In a move reminiscent of Bobby Knight, McCaffery picked up a chair and slammed it to the ground. He didn’t have the chair toss perfected like Knight did, but it was effective nonetheless.
Watch around the 1:10 mark of the video to see McCaffery’s explosion. That poor chair will never be the same.
