We’ve seen this story a few times. I mean whose Mom doesn’t want the best for him?

Pamela McGee spoke to Mike Wise of the Washington Post and was asked to address her son’s “negative” tendencies in his young career in the NBA.

She said “My son is special. He has gifts you can’t teach: hands, height and heart. If I’m the Wizards and I’m really trying to build a franchise, really committed to rebuilding and developing, I would nurture that talent. I would help a kid like JaVale the best I could.”

Pamela McGee finished her comments by saying” I don’t want him to get institutionalized to losing. My son is the future of the NBA.”

He has a lot of potential though, Javale is a lengthy shot-blocker and averaging a double-double this year.

However, with some plays like these:

Showboating at 1-11? The Wizards fans weren’t too pleased with this.

This is a little embarrassing at almost 7 feet.

And he’s definitely not Michael Jordan.

Before he becomes the “future” of the NBA McGee has some growing up to do. Sorry Mom.
