If Philadelphia Flyers fans didn’t get enough heckling of Pittsburgh Penguins star Sidney Crosby in during their playoff series, they can now do it over a frosty beverage in his name.

Downtown Philadelphia’s downtown bar Nodding Head, known for their array of bobbleheads and their menu items honoring of Philly sports, is now serving a beer titled “Crosby Tears”. After the Flyers big series win over their in-state rivals the bar honored the squad by poking fun at the Penguins young star.

Here is the menu description of the brew:

CROSBY TEARS – $6.50 tulip
STRONG ALE (8.7%ABV)… WHINE-LIKE IN “HONOR” OF ITS NAMESAKE… ORANGE HUED LIKE THE TEAM THAT SENT HIM HOME FOR THE SUMMER… THE PERFECT COMPLEMENT TO A PLAYOFF RUN

Here’s a look at the beer via the700level.com:

Kudos to the bar for pairing the beer with this hilarious description and providing Philly fans with another laugh at Crosby’s expense.

The Flyers took it to the Penguins and continuously harassed their best player to the point that he was dropping gloves. Crosby did his part in the series tallying two goals and four assists but he also went -4 in those six games.

After dealing with concussion issues the whole season Crosby returned towards the end of the year and gave Pens fans hope for a playoff run. It didn’t work out that way, mostly due to poor defense and goaltending, and now the team heads into the offseason with plenty of questions to answer and a roster overhaul possible.

We know one thing at least, Philly fans will have something to cheers over while watching their Flyers continue on in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
