Harvard Baseball Cover “Call Me Maybe”
If you have been under a rock for about the last three months, you have missed the internet sensation that is “Call Me Maybe.” The song, which is the big hit for Carly Rae Jepsen, is taking the world by storm. This song is getting played everywhere and everyone is getting in on the fun.
The Harvard baseball team decided that the world needed a cover of the song provided by them. The video is filled with lip synching and awesome dance moves. Awesome might be a bit of a stretch, but it is hilarious to watch. I really enjoyed this video.
Call Me Maybe is taking over and there is nothing that you can do to stop it. It is personally one of my favorite songs and if you do not enjoy belting this song out, I have the feeling you have no sense of humor. The lyrics are wacky and it is a such a teeny pop song that you have to enjoy it. It is getting played everywhere, so more and more of these videos are going to pop out of the woodwork.
Props to the Harvard baseball team for letting go and enjoying this. It is not easy to do a video that may embarrass you, but they have no qualm with it. It is hilarious and it might get them some national attention. The best part of it is at the end when the song switches. There is no reaction to the new song. Well played, Harvard baseball. Well played.
