Usain Bolt is the fastest man on the planet. When you run at speeds like he does, you need a little bit of distance to slow down. Apparently the flower girl at the IAAF Diamond League Meet in Oslo, Norway didn’t get that message. Bolt did his best impression of a truck stick and almost ran the girl over.
Luckily, Usain Bolt was able to catch the girl before you she got totally destroyed. If he was not slowing up, the girl would have gotten ground into the track. That had lawsuit written all over it, but I guess almost everything has lawsuit written on it these days.
I am looking forward to watching Usain Bolt run in the Olympics this summer. I think they should make a new race where they have moving human obstacles. If you can still run fast and avoid running people over, that should be rewarded. I bet that would be the most watched race in history. It is like Frogger, but instead of a frog trying to avoid traffic, it is track stars trying to avoid people who fail to understand physics.
I give props to Usain Bolt for his quick thinking on this incident. If he did not reach out and grab her elbows, she is going to get hurt. Just think if he accidentally stepped on her with his spikes. That would do a great job of leaving a hole in a body part.
