This is possibly the coolest video that I have seen in a long time. This woman is fishing in Myrtle Beach when she finally manages to get a big fish on the line. She is taking her time trying to reel the thing in and when she gets close, a bull shark comes up and takes the fish right off of the hook.
I have been fishing a lot in my lifetime but I have never been saltwater fishing. This means that I have never had to worry about a shark swooping in and taking a fish off of my line. For that, I am extremely thankful. If this were to happen to me, I would probably freak out just like the woman in the video. That fish looked to be decent sized and the bull shark decided to treat itself to lunch.
The video is already going viral and with good reason. When do you see things like this actually captured on video? The number has to be miniscule. Not many people are actually filming people fish. Why would you? The chances that something interesting actually happening are very small. I bet the chance that a bull shark was going to guest star in this were just unheard of.
This could go down as one of the best moments in this angler’s life. She might never get a fish like that again, but she has a story to tell. If there is redemption, she will get that fish without a shark stealing it.
