Spice Girls Will Reunite For Closing Ceremony At 2012 London Olympics
The Spice Girls haven’t sang together since 2008, but they are reuniting for the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony. If you grew up in the 1990s like this, this might be a big deal.
The girls were approached for the Games two years ago. It’s always been on the cards.
‘Victoria is in London until the end of the Games and David’s exclusion from the football team means she has time to reunite with the Spice Girls.
‘Talks are back in full swing and the balance of power rests with Mel C. Everyone is hopeful she will agree to perform.’
There were rumors that the group would get back together for the finale of the Olympics, but Victoria Beckham was not exactly sold on the idea. Something has happened in the last couple of days, however, and the group is back together for one last run.
I know a lot of people that are going to be excited about this reunion. The Spice Girls were on top of the music world for a little bit of time during the 1990s. It would not feel right if they were not a part of the closing ceremonies of the games.
Things could always fall apart before we get to the ceremonies, but it looks like the Spice Girls are going to give it one last go as a group. I doubt they perform anymore after this two song set at the Olympics but I bet their fans will be happy with this performance.
