In honor of the 20th anniversary of the Dream Team, I figured it would be a good idea to take a stroll down memory lane, and relive some great moments from the 1992 Olympics.

In this installment we take a look at Michael Jordan going behind the back to Clyde Drexler:

Jordan taking a page out of the Magic playbook.

This behind the back from Jordan is about as good as in gets for behind the back passes. He completed sold the play to his right, and then effortlessly goes behind his back to the trailing Drexler for an easy lay up…

These Olympics games came on the heels of the Jordan’s Chicago Bulls defeating Drexler’s Portland Trail Blazers in the 1992 NBA Finals. Jordan outshined Drexler in what was a great series.

It’s a series that’s famous for Jordan shrugging his shoulders after making six 3 pointers in the first half of Game 1; and also for Game 6 which saw the Bulls’ backup players (plus Scottie Pippen), lead a comeback in the 4th quarter to clinch the series.

Growing up this was the first Finals I can ever remember watching, and what a great one it was. Game 6 is still one of my all-time favorites, and I’ve got the VHS tape to prove it.

Check out this video package on the 1992 Finals. It does a great job of portraying the showdown that was, Bulls vs. Blazers. Both rosters were loaded, and this series is a perfect example of old school basketball, in what some would call the best era in NBA history.
