MMA Champion Ronda Rousey Slams Michael Phelps For Acting Like A Snob
Ronda Rousey is no stranger to saying some controversial things. She wants to beat the crap out of Kim Kardashian and now she is going after Michael Phelps. Rousey claims that Phelps was a snob at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
“Michael Phelps kind of annoyed me a little bit,” Rousey told Seckbach. “We had this club thing for the US team and all the Olympians are hanging out together, all the NBA players are hanging out, and Michael Phelps needed his own private section of the club,” she ranted.
“All these NBA players are a bigger deal than this guy and they’re hanging out with the rest of us. We’re like, ‘Hello, we’re your teammates! We’re not a bunch of groupies! Come hang out with us! Who are you?’”
Hopefully these two do not cross paths at the 2012 Olympics. It seems like Rousey might be a bit of a hot head and she has no problems expressing what she feels. That could end up badly for Phelps if the two ended up in the same room. Then again, Phelps would know not to ignore this time, lest he be put on blast once again.
At least there is no shortage of story lines headed into the Olympics. Seeing Phelps potentially have a confrontation with a female MMA fighter would certainly grab the attention of many folks. If you pay per view that, that would make a lot of money. Somebody get their reps on the phone, there’s a money making idea afoot.
