North Korea Women’s Soccer Team Refuses To Take Field For Match Against Colombia After South Korean Flag Is Shown At Stadium

Never anger the women’s soccer team from North Korea.  They were supposed to take on Colombia in a match at the 2012 Summer Olympics but due to a mixup, the South Korea flag was flying instead.  This mean the North Koreans refused to take the field and the game is currently delayed.

North Korea apparently won't take the field for its women's soccer match vs Colombia because the South Korean flag is flying in Hampden Park

North Korea really can not be blamed for this either.  How do the organizers make that mistake?  They will be lucky if this game ends up happening without some serious intervention.  North Korea and South Korea do not get along.  Showing the other’s flag is just disrespectful and it shows a lack of knowledge.

Even though the opening ceremonies have not happened yet, there is a lot of weird stuff going on at the Olympics.  Not exactly the way that London wants to get everything started.  Normally you could blame NK for acting a little bit weird, but they are perfectly right to be upset about this matter.

Both teams ended up on the pitch 45 minutes after the game was supposed to begin.  This is probably one of the few times that this has happened in the history of the Olympics.  This is a giant mistake and it should end up getting a lot of coverage.  If there is one way to anger any country, it would be to show the flag of a country that they totally despise.

If this keeps up, the Olympics are going to be way too wacky this year.
