Scottie Pippen Will Not Appear In NBA 2k13 As Part Of The Dream Team
Rob Grabowski-US PRESSWIRE

Scottie Pippen was one of the breakout stars of the Dream Team when they were first formed.  NBA 2k13 wanted to get the entire Dream Team into the game, but Pippen did not come to an agreement with the company.  This should come as a surprise to a lot of people, because Pippen was a big part of that team.

Scottie Pippen has always seemed to have money issues, so a lot of people guessed that he would want to be in the game and pick up a nice little check.  Either the company was lowballing him in order to represent his real life struggle with the Chicago Bulls or Pippen just wanted too much cash.  Sad to see, as the Dream Team would have been extremely fun to play with at full strength.

People are still going to buy the game and they will still enjoy playing it.  However, it will feel like something is missing on the Dream Team.  Pippen was part of the famous lockdown defense on Toni Kukoc that garnered a lot of attention and he was one of the key members of the team.  This would be like trying to make a burrito without cheese.  Sure you can make it work, but it is going to be missing something that puts it over the top.

I am not sure if we will ever find out why Pippen did not want to do it because his offer will probably never be leaked out.  I am guessing it would have been a perfect amount of money for a guy who still gets paid by the Bulls to sit court side but who knows?  Maybe Pippen felt slighted but the people that really lose out in this situation are the fans.  Bad move, Pip.
