Brian Urlacher And Jenny McCarthy End Their Relationship, Remain Friends
If Brian Urlacher dating Jenny McCarthy struck anyone as odd, some normalcy has returned to the world. The two have decided to end their relationship but remain friends. There is probably a better way to describe it but I do like my job, so I’ll keep that description to myself.
“Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship,” this year’s July/August Playboy cover girl, 39, tells PEOPLE in a statement on Thursday. “I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him. Go, Bears!”
The two certainly did not set any records for longest romance but it apparently ended on good terms. The way things are going, I am shocked when celebrity romances do not end with a full scale war. We have too many things like that in the news recently. That is either a mark against romance or television coverage, but I can not tell which.
Brian Urlacher can now focus on getting healthy for the Chicago Bears upcoming season but that is even more clouded than his relationship. He says he is ready to go for the first game but not a lot of people are going to believe that. He has not been around camp very much, which has led to speculation the future Hall of Famer is finally breaking down to the point where he can not be relied on.
Come the first game of the season, I expect to see Urlacher roaming the middle of the field like he has done for so many years while McCarthy cheers him on from home. That is what friends do, they still support each other even after a break up. Then again, this could be just the beginning of the next explosive celebrity breakup that takes up way too much time and attention.
