Evander Holyfield Tweets Joke About Mike Tyson T-Shirt Line

By Andrew Fisher

Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are two boxers that will be forever associated with each other. Of course this all stems from that infamous night in June 1997, when Tyson bit off a chunk of Holyfield’s ear during a title fight. It’s a moment that will never be forgotten.

Well recently Holyfield took to Twitter, and stirred up some memories from that notorious fight:

The shirt Holyfield is wearing, is actually part of Mike Tyson’s t-shirt collection. That’s right, Tyson has a real line of clothing…

It’s great to see these guys have put their differences behind them, or should I say it’s good that Holyfield has forgiven Tyson.

The former heavyweight champions went on Oprah back in 2009 to clear the air:

“It was just shocking. It wasn’t really as bad as they made it out to be,” said Holyfield. “The most important thing is that things happen for a reason, but it’s how you handle it. At that moment, I was very angry. But eventually, when it’s all over, you realize that you gain more than you lost. The most important thing for me was to forgive, and I forgave him and I was ready to move on.”

Tyson also chimed in:

“Me and this guy both come from basically the sewage, and we watched each other grow to become established and esteemed fighters, you know what I mean? I just want you to know it’s just been a pleasure passing through life being acquainted with you.”
