Chad Johnson has had a rough couple of weeks. First, he was arrested for head butting his wife. Next, he was cut by the Miami Dolphins. Thirdly, he lost his reality show and his wife. Finally, the man they call Ochocinco was left off of Madden 13.

The world was alerted to this after Ocho tweeted off his account that he had to create his own character. Not exactly a surprising oversight, but it is pretty shocking. I would have figured that they would have him as a free agent, but no dice.
The fall of Chad Johnson is something that is going to be looked at for a long time. His wedding barely got off the ground, his football career is in the toilet, and now he’s getting left off of video games. The third part of that sentence is the least important, but might be the final nail in the coffin.
During his prime, Johnson was a deadly weapon on the football field. Time has sapped him of the skills that made him great. He has been reduced to a shell of himself and his personal life is slowly starting to unravel. You hate to see that happen, especially with a guy like Ocho who had never been arrested.
Maybe the creators of Madden will add Ocho back in with the latest roster update, but that might not be the case. Either way, I am sure that this is a slap in the face to Johnson and like the three people that still support him.
UPDATE: According to some screenshots, Ocho is IN the game. Maybe he didn’t check free agency.
