Paul Heyman is one of the most polarizing people in WWE history. You either love his vision or hate how annoying that he can end up being. I personally enjoy having Heyman around. He will be around for quite some time now, as the end of Raw revealed that CM Punk has entered into a partnership with Heyman.
If you remember Punk’s epic promo from last year, he mentioned that he is a “Paul Heyman guy.” Heyman was willing to give the young guy a push on WWECW. That never amounted to much as Heyman left before it could get off the ground.
This is a great way to tie everything back together. Heyman is too good to leave off of TV and since Brock Lesnar does not appear every week, pairing him with Punk is a great tool to keep him on screen. This is also going to be a good way to force Punk to be a heel. He is much better at that than being a face, but this should give him the reaction he needs. The fans won’t back him now.
We will see how this ends up. The company has made a living of screwing up sure things but this seems almost too perfect to mess up. Pairing up two guys that could take over the company works just perfectly. For the first time in a long time, I am actually interested in watching Raw the following week. It is just a baby step, but it is going in the right direction.
