If you’ve ever been to Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City on football Saturday, you have probably witnessed how the Hawkeye football fans like to tailgate. Well, being in a different city apparently does not stop their outrageous tailgating traditions and the Hawkeyes outnumbered the Huskie fans in every tailgating lot around Soldier Field.
The Princeton Review recently released their “Top Party Schools” in the nation and The University of Iowa was number 2. Students can pretty much thank their tailgating for that statistic.
However, this video isn’t one of a typical drunken college student on game day. This time around, it was a Hawkeye grandma chugging a beer bong out of a car, as if it was a drive-thru service.
The Hawks barely pulled out the win against Northern Illinois at Soldier Field on Saturday. At the 2:15 minute mark in the 4th quarter, Iowa was down 17-12 against the Huskies. Iowa’s Bullock ran the ball for a 23-yard touchdown to bring the Hawkeyes lead to 1 point.
Iowa’s attempt at a 2-point conversion failed but the Hawks still pulled out the win. Clearly, that means Hawkeye fans were ready to rage after the game.
As this senior citizen’s van was pulling out of the lot, Hawkeye fans somehow convinced her to stop and chug a beer bong. She downed it like a champ and was praised by all the Hawkeye fans around her.
I’m not sure what words there can be to describe this crazy Hawkeye grandma but this video is absolutely priceless for the Iowa fans.
