Dwight Howard may have made a lot of people angry over the last year or so, but he seems to still be pretty popular. Well, he’s popular enough to get voiceover roles. In an episode that will air on Saturday, Howard will appear as Rock Callahan in an episode of Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil.
If you look at it, it does make sense for the Los Angeles Lakers center to be portraying a superhero type of guy. I mean, the guy has gone by the nickname of Superman. It makes way too much sense for him to be in a role like this. I am sure that locating to California will help him add more roles like this in the future.
There are still a lot of people that do not like Dwight, but he is charismatic enough to keep landing roles like this. Although he handled his trade demands poorly, he is still one of the most popular and marketable stars in any sport. A guy who is seven feet tall with a gigantic smile is going to get deals until he no longer wants them anymore.
I will not be watching this episode to see how he does, but it is a good way to get Howard more exposure to young fans. In fact, more people might jump on the Lakers bandwagon after finding out that Howard was the guy doing this voice. Then again, do we really need more Lakers fans in this world?
