Andre Miller and Kenneth Faried are perfect for each other. The two key pieces of the Denver Nuggets make up something that you need on a fun team. They combine the amazing vision of a point guard with the athletic freak of a dunker. Add those two elements together with a three-quarter court alley oop pass and you have highlight gold.
We are going to see a lot of these by the time Faried leaves the league. He is an extremely athletic player and his high motor allows him to leak out for plays like this. He can get up and down the floor in a hurry, which bodes well for future success. He could easily develop into a double-double guy, simply based on his effort.
Don’t discount Miller’s contributions either. For as long as I can remember, he has been putting on point guard clinics. He may not be flashy but he gets the job done. There is a lot more to being a point guard than just filling up a stat sheet. That is why a lot of teams would love to have a guy like Miller leading their team.
This is why people were super excited to watch Denver play this year. This team has the ability to pull off plays like this every night. Sometimes they will bog down, but they will always play hard. They may not win a title this year, but they could end up with the most highlights. That has to count for something, right?
