Floyd Mayweather may be brash and outspoken, but the man can certainly box. As most of the boxing world waits for the day that he finally takes on Manny Pacquiao, we instead have to settle for fights with lesser opponents. The main holdup between the two is either money or drug testing, depending on who you talk to. Mayweather has long accused Manny of doping, but there are rumors floating that Floyd himself has failed a drug test in the past.
On May 20, 2012, a rumor filtered through the drug-testing community that Mayweather had tested positive on three occasions for an illegal performance-enhancing drug.More specifically, it was rumored that Mayweather’s “A” sample had tested positive on three occasions and, after each positive test, USADA had found exceptional circumstances in the form of inadvertent use and gave Floyd a waiver. This waiver, according to the rumor, negated the need for a test of Floyd’s “B” sample.
