Usually the down on the field announcer doesn't work out to well, but Siragusa is no doubt the best at what he does. His analysis and observations from the field are usually spot on. Plus he has great chemistry with the rest of the crew. (We'll get to them later.)
People will not like Marv Albert on a football announcers countdown. I get it, he's considered a basketball announcer, but it's Marv freaking Albert. I would listen to this guy call a chess match. Albert is one of the all-time greats, and he calls an entertaining NFL game.
Mayock is a guy who's grown on me. It took me awhile to get over his accent, and while I still don't really like it, the guy is just too good at his job to not be considered one of the best. He knows his Xs and Os, and is not afraid to call players out on the air.
You don't become the play-by-play announcer for MNF by being a schmuck. Tirico is one the best in the business. He's always professional, but he won't hesitate to call out players either. I'll never forget when he used the term 'Busch League' during a broadcast, classic.
The former coach transitioned well into his new role, and every week he brings his A-game to the announcers booth. I love the knowledge he brings to the table, and his coach's mentality. It's nice to get perspective from a guy just a few years removed from game.
Billick's broadcast partner on FOX, and the son of a legendary baseball announcer, Brennaman is the best play-by-play guy on his network. Unfortunately, the executives don't see it that way, and there's another guy with a famous father holding down the "No. 1" spot.
Yet another guy people seem to love or hate, but regardless of your opinion on his announcing skills, the guy knows football as well as anyone. I'm not just talking about announcers, I mean anyone. Gruden never ceases to amaze me with his wealth of knowledge on the game. He's lively and entertaining, sometimes over the top, but I love his enthusiasm. It's never a boring game with Gruden behind the mic.
