Poor Brian Okam. The center for Appalachian State is going to go down with the worst free throw in recorded human history. I had to do a little research to figure out who the guy was, but the roster lists number 24 as Okam. Just step back and watch this horrid attempt.
I mean, that is just bad. I guess he messed up his trajectory and it all went south from there. I mean, the ball went about 15 high. However, it only went about five feet far. That is not the recipe for a successful attempt.
I have the feeling that this video is going to show up in a lot of places. It is just that bad. I can’t imagine how something like that can happen. I have shot a lot of free throws in my life, but I have never had an airball that bad. I bet there are a lot of people who have shot free throws but never had something like that occur.
Hopefully Okam can bounce back from something like this. All you can do in this situation is laugh it off. I mean, you can’t go back and re-shoot the ball. Just laugh at the mistake and go get them next time. I bet that he is going to spend some extra time working on this shot after practice.
I am going to spend most of day today watching this. It is just that good. You really have to watch it multiple times to appreciate how bad it is.
