10 Athletes To Avoid Following On Twitter

Introduction

In today's world, Twitter has become one of the best ways to connect with people. It also allows us common folk a way to interact with our favorite celebrities and athletes. While some people use this opportunity to attempt to troll these athletes, other use it for the intended purpose. However, there are some issues. Some athletes are so mind numbingly dull on Twitter that following them is an absolute waste of time. That is why we are bringing you a list of 10 athletes that you should avoid following on Twitter at all costs.

Some of these athletes use Twitter as a way to hype products. I do not know about you, but I joined to Twitter to gather information and interact with people. Getting bombarded with athletes trying to get you to buy their latest endorsed product is not what I wanted. Other athletes spend time talking about how great their life is and how much money they have occurred. Again, this is not something that most people are going to find appealing.

There is also that segment of athletes that have Twitter but absolutely fail to use it. There are some guys that tweeted for like a week and then stopped. However, they still have a lot of followers. There are also players that use it as a PR boost and some even abstain from the service during the season. That seems like a not fun person to follow. If an athlete is not going to use it for its desired purpose, what is the point of having an account?

And with that, it is time to begin the slideshow. These 10 athletes may be great at what they do, but Twitter is not one of those things. Just remember, avoid these guys at all cost unless you love having boredom take over our life.

Aaron Rodgers

As much as I love Rodgers when he's playing football, his Twitter account has way more downtime than it should. It could be considered admirable that he is abstaining from Twiter during the season, but it does lead to one heck of a boring feed. Not a good idea to follow right now.

Tim Tebow

If you like over the top religious verses and what not, you'd love Tebow's feed. Unfortunately, not a lot of people want that in their feeds. Ignore the Tebow feed.

Ozzie Guillen

Guillen either tweets in Spanish or horribly broken English. It is way too painful to read these tweets.

Jeff Gordon

Gordon loves shilling products. Too bad he uses Twitter for that. Turns your feed into an advertisement really fast.

Tiger Woods

If you love a bland Twitter feed, you would love Tiger's feed. Not a lot of entertaining things going on in here.

Pau Gasol

Gasol loves duplicate tweets. He sends one in English and one in Spanish. Way too much clutter in your feed if you follow him.

Floyd Mayweather

Mayweather does have some interesting stuff but you end up feeling bad about yourself after you read his tweets. He talks about money, counting money, taking pictures with money and all sorts of other things. Kind of depressing.

Derrick Rose

See, I love Rose, but his feed is sporadic and it reeks of PR involvement. The pictures of his son were nice, but everything is else is way too crafted. Let's get some spontaneity going.

Lance Armstrong

Armstrong tweets about deaths and other depressing topics. Enough said.

Tim Lincecum

Lincecum has eight tweets. Yeah, avoid him at all costs.
