For fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide, they have to be pleased with their team rolling over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they’ve established a 28-0 lead at halftime. As for Notre Dame fans, the only excitement they saw in the first half was the spotting of A.J. McCarron’s gorgeous girlfriend sitting in the stands–Katherine Webb.
The 2012 winner of Miss Alabama was shown on television in the first quarter of Monday’s National Championship game sitting next to A.J.’s mother. What’s even more entertaining about this spotting–Brent Musburger made some interesting comments about how beautiful Webb was (and clearly–he’s right) and how lucky of a guy McCarron is.
The Fighting Irish had high expectations coming into this game, but the inexperience clearly played a factor in this game as they had zero answers for stopping Alabama in the first half. There may be one half of football left to play, but all signs pointing to Notre Dame coming out on the losing end in this one–which would be a shame considering the type of year they had during the regular season.
This one will certainly be difficult to sink in for Notre Dame fans as they’ve been waiting for another National Title for the first time since 1988, but look at the bright side for all you Irish fans–you discovered the next attractive girlfriend in the college football world in Webb.
McCarron is certainly one lucky man–so be sure to enjoy the video above as Webb will most likely be shown a few more times throughout the game.
