Just when you thought you heard the end of “jeah, bro” for the time being, you’re unfortunately wrong. I’m already regretting using that line but expect to hear that two-word phrase lot more even though the 2012 London Olympics are long gone.

It was announced today that Summer Olympics star Ryan Lochte has the green light for his own reality TV show titled “What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” Oh boy.

Just read what the E! network press release had to say about the upcoming, six-episode series.

Titled What Would Ryan Lochte Do?, the six-episode series from Intuitive Entertainment will feature the “vivescent” Lochte, network president Suzanne Kolb said, adding that E! brass wondered “How deep is the pool of Ryan Lochte? It turns out, very deep.”

Just knowing that the E! brass had to ask themselves how deep Lochte is should say enough about how bad this show has the potential to be. The mini-series will feature the swimmer partying and training as he prepares for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. Along with what should be riveting video of Lochte grinding up on some co-eds, the show is also supposed to feature the “swimmer trying to build his fashion line, making media appearances, dealing with his close-knit and outspoken family and friends and looking for the right girl”.

Lochte does have some previous TV experience (cameos on 90210 and 30 Rock) but with the lack of any recent gigs it seemed that the interest in Lochte was beginning to wear off. Sure he has the all-American good looks but his head seems rather empty to put it in nice terms.

“What Would Ryan Lochte Do?” I guess we’ll all soon find out.
