15 Random January Sports Photos for Your Entertainment

January is a great time of year for sports fans around the country. There's a good variety of sports and leagues to choose from: NFL, NBA, NCAA Basketball, just to name a few. I think the NFL is no doubt king this time of year, not only because the games are the most entertaining, but of course because it's the postseason.

College basketball teams are now several games into their conference schedules, while NBA players are starting to try harder and harder. When it comes to the NFL, we all know those guys give it everything they've got this time of year.

My basketball season certainly doesn't officially start until football is all the way over. Outside of my favorite college team, I really don't watch a whole lot of other NCAA games until it gets closer to March. I think that if you're just after an entertaining game game to watch, the NBA is where it's at.

The NBA is loaded with talent, and even tough some players don't kick it into higher gear for awhile still, the Association features some dang good basketball games. Unless your rooting for a particular team, the regular season in college just doesn't feature as good of action on a random night as you will find in the NBA.

Regardless, January is a really good sports month. Bowl games, real playoffs, tons of basketball., and even hockey again. Sports junkies no doubt gets their fix in the first month of the year.

These photos are moments captured in time during the first half of January 2013, let's take a look:

In professional wrestling this move is called the 'stink face.' There's certainly nothing peaceful about where Sefolosha's head is located.

What is going on here? Great picture of the ball frozen in space, and yet all the players look like Bane just walked out onto the court.

Sorry Peyton, not trying to kick you when you're down, but you blew it...again. This will no doubt be a lasting image from the 2013 NFL Playoffs

Gasol is likely falling to the ground here while trying to grab a loose ball, but I like to think he's scared of Kevin Garnett.

That lump in the corner of Gurgel's forehead, yeah, I don't think that's supposed to be there...

People say that Colin Kaepernick runs like a deer. Bull crap, he runs like Forrest Gump. For those of you who got the reference in the headline, thank you. For those younger viewers who haven't seen Forrest Gump, shame on you. #americanclassic

Gage is hurt, scared, mad? Not real sure, but he definitely looks like an idiot.

Where are they now? Jason the Red Ranger is an Atlanta Falcon fanatic. Makes sense really.

Griffin is in more of these crazy pictures than any other NBA player. How he gets in positions like this one, I have no idea. More to come from Griffin in a bit.

Hey if you threw it out of bounds Jameer, it's okay. You'll get another chance... Maybe he just realized he plays for the Magic.

I'm Sure This Was a 15-Yard Penalty

The look on Russell Wilson's face says it all, ouch. But Wilson is tough, both physically and mentally. He proved that he's the real deal in 2012.

Jack and the Sandman Have Seen Enough in L.A.

I was that guy at the beginning of the year saying 'the Lakers will be fine, stop overreacting.' Well I'm starting to think the mass concern in L.A. is warranted. Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler even walked out on the team recently... We can only hope they went directly to a bar.

Manning: 'I am Not Getting Taken Down by a Kicker!' Gostkowski: 'BS! Horsecollar!'

It's not often that a kicker tackle makes you grimace, but when Gostkowski took down Manning with a horsecollar last weekend, I took notice. Sure it was a little dirty, but it's a kicker, good for him.

Matt Schaub looks like he just got a lobotomy, but in reality he was just bounced from the playoffs by the great Tommy Brady. People in Houston have to be wondering if it's time to go in a different direction at QB.
