Los Angeles Dodgers Use ‘Anchorman’ Quote to Bash San Diego Padres on Twitter

One of the top stories on Friday in baseball involved the massive brawl between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres that took place on Thursday night after pitcher Zack Greinke hit Carlos Quentin with a pitch in the sixth inning. Obviously, Quentin wasn’t pleased with what happened and took matters into his own hands by charging the mound to go after Greinke–which led to both benches clearing and the star pitcher suffering a broken collarbone.

From the perspective of the Dodgers, they have every reason in the world to be frustrated with Quentin considering they signed Greinke to a $147 million deal this offseason and now there’s no telling when he’ll be able to return to the field. Thanks to the incident, the team’s official Twitter page decided to take a shot at their division rivals with a classy (no pun intended) message for next week’s series.

Props to the individual that runs the social media page for the Dodgers who came up with this popular idea because as annoying as the brawl was–it’s difficult not to laugh over the photo above. If you thought Thursday’s game was intense to watch, just wait and see how Dodgers fans respond to Quentin and company when they come to Los Angeles next week.

There most likely won’t be another brawl–but expect fans to let Quentin to receive plenty of harsh words from fans after this latest incident.
