Members of Duke Track Team Create Video By ‘Trackstreet Boys’ For ‘I Want It That Way’

(YouTube)

Over the last year, “Call Me Maybe” was arguably the most popular music video for college sports teams to re-create on their own. As for the Duke Track and Field team–it appears they decided to go old school with a music video of their own to the classic hit “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys.

As you can see in the video above, five members of the track team created their own version of the music video for the song and it’s certainly one of those situations where the performance is so terrible–you can’t help but laugh at it. What’s even more funny about the video is the fact that they refer to themselves as the “Trackstreet Boys” (get it?).

The funny thing about this song is even though it wasn’t cool to like it as kids unless you were a female teenager, everybody seems to love it today–including the male population. This song will always go down as one of the top boy band classics of all time and as terrible of a performance as this way–give these guys credit for having the guts to put this video together for the world to see on the internet.

It may not be as good as the original, but it will be interesting to see if the Trackstreet Boys release any other videos in the future from boy bands back in the day–especially if they happen to be N’SYNC or 98 Degrees.
